Price does not include framing, shipping fees, and any state or city sales tax, where applicable.
You can have a dialogue with the artist and determine the scope of the portrait and price. Please contact to discuss the cost and details in commissioning portrait painting.
A 50% deposit is required. If you do not like the portrait work done by the artist, he is willing to work on your requests to satisfy you. However, the deposit is not refundable after he starts to work on your portrait.
Attention: If you do not pick up the picture within 3 months after notification that your picture is finished, the artist will not be responsible for the picture.
Model
Bring or mail several photo pictures for the person you want us to draw or paint. If you do not have photo pictures and live in the local area, the artist can take pictures of the model in his studio or at your place. There will be extra charges if he visits your place to take pictures.
Selecting Photographs
When you try to find photos, it is important that you select good photos not just photos that you want. The reason is that the artist will draw or paint only as he sees. Therefore, there are several things you must consider when you select photographs.
- You must avoid selecting photos of very small and unfocused subjects which do not show clear shape and color of them (e.g. eye color, hair color, etc.)
- Find a photo which has a clear facial expression that you want. The artist will not change the expression.
Requesting Some Changes to the Photo
- Removing or adding any objects
- Combining people from separate photos into one portrait
- Adding a different background
(When you request the above items, please supply all the photos containing the elements to be painted.)
Sending Digital Photos or Scanned Photos
The size of the digital photo: Larger size is better. However, the size of the picture after cropping the necessary object should be over 100kb or a have a resolution of at least 400 dpi.
You can scan photos at Kinkos or Office Max for professional scanning near you unless you have your own scanner with you.
